Social Support Worker

About us

InverCare provides Support and Care Services within the community throughout a number of regions across the West of Scotland 7 days a week including Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Perth and Kinross, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
We are striving to provide a service of excellence through our care at home services for those with physical disabilities, general frailty, dementia, learning difficulties, palliative and end of life care.

About the role

As a Social support Worker (SSW) you will be matched to a specific person we work for and will spend your time working alongside them.

You will support them with their day-to-day life but the core component of your role will be supporting them to keep sight of their hopes and aspirations and to move closer to them.

It is a real opportunity to be part of supporting someone to get the life they want and it is great fun too!

You will need to be a good listener with an enthusiasm for life, a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn. You don’t need to have a care qualification or any previous experience of working in social care as you will be provided with all the training you need and will also have the opportunity to work towards your professional qualification.

Shift Pattern: Hours Vary until 10pm
